Revelation 14:15
"And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe."

Sister Alice Gets Key to the City

Full Gospel Church recently celebrated 38 years of ministry on Sunday, August 1st, 2009.

Chickasha Mayor Greg Elliott presented pioneering Pastor, Sister Alice Wendling with the Key to the City.

"I was thinking earlier what the city, what I could give or write to sister Alice," said Elliott. "I will say in the last three and a half years, I haven't given one of these out. It never seemed like the right time or place. For while now, I've had a key to the city in my desk and I think of Sister Alice as a spiritual key that has unlocked so many doors and hearts in this community with the work she has done. I can't think of a more appropriate thing than a key to this community that God may continue to do mighty things through her ministry. Sister Alice means so much to this community, and for all she's done for it and the Kingdom of God, we say thank you with this key."

"What an honor," said Sister Alice. "Thank you so much from my heart, that's what I'm doing, and I want to open doors of hearts because that is what it's about - souls and people - that's what it's all about. Thank you."

Sister Alice has been involved in ministering to the community since 1971. The ministry far surpasses the doors of the church home at 722 North 10th Street, the work is done outside the church.

The church is a prepration place to go out and help a world that is looking for an answer and a hope when it seems all else is failing.

"God has never failed and this ministry will proclaim the good news as long as I live," said Sister Alice.

We would like to thank all the churches and our community who joined in our celebration as well as the various musicians and singers who graced our platform. The outpouring of the anointing was like rain in a dry land that flooded our sanctuary.

The message, "Our Best is Yet to Come," by Sister Alice changed the atmosphere. A bridge of remembering how great it has been reminds us it is not over yet.

Special thaks to Carolyn Kay's Flowers for her beautiful creations that adorned the sanctuary and reception hall.
