Web Design Costs
Okay, "so can I afford all this?", I hear you saying! Relax, it's not that painful!!
There are three main costs that are involved in designing a website. First, there is the cost to purchase your domain name. That's the 'www.mycompany.com' part of it. Then there is the hosting cost, and that is the cost of the server where your site resides so that people can access it. Then there is the cost of the actual design and setup of the site, which is where most of the cost is incurred. Then I charge an hourly rate for updates and edits once the site is uploaded and live online.
Here is a breakdown of these costs, and some guidelines to what your site would estimate.
| Domain Names | $15 each per year |
| Hosting | $60 per year |
| Initial cost | Typically between $600 and $1,200 depending on size |
| Maintenance | $25 per hour |

So, a site that had say, 6-10 pages, like this, would come in around $600 for the initial build, plus the domain name and hosting which is $75 per year (for basic hosting). Then it would be charged at $25 an hour for any edits and changes made after the site was complete, uploaded and 'live'. |

A site that was larger, like this would come in around $850, plus the domain name and hosting which is $75 per year (for basic hosting). Then it would be charged at $25 an hour for any edits and changes made after the site was complete, uploaded and 'live'. |

These are estimates only, and we would go over your requirements and I'd give you a bid for your site.
